Recruitment Assistant

Yard Sale Pizza is a growing and successful independent hospitality business based in London, with up to 300 employees across 14 locations. We are hiring a Recruitment Assistant with excellent administration and interpersonal skills to join the People Team, with fantastic opportunities to progress within the company and develop your career with one of London's most exciting brands!

This role is predominantly focused on recruitment and requires someone who is driven, takes great pride in their work and who will be there for everyone, offering support to our shops and wider team, both virtually and in person. You’ll play a key part in bringing the buzz to the hiring experience and never compromising on quality in everything you do!


Duties:

• Arrange, coordinate and manage the interview/trial process for internal and external candidates with care and attention to detail.

• Communicating with high volumes of applicants on a daily basis.

• Screening CVs, preparing interview questions, delivering tactful, professional feedback, always showing pride in your communication.

• Managing job boards across different platforms including social media and advertising through our internal opportunity network.

• Onboarding and compliance checks using internal systems.

• Assisting in recruitment and HR tasks including weekly payroll

• Ad hoc administrative support for the People Team with a flexible, proactive, can-do mindset.


Requirements:

• Experience and exhibits resilience working in a fast-paced environment, ready to bring the buzz even when it’s busy!

• Able to coordinate a busy email inbox and organise effectively, making the details your priority.

• Confident telephone manner and professionalism in every call.

• PC literate - Google Sheets/Docs.

• Ability to use own initiative and work independently with autonomy.

• A positive, proactive approach to a busy workload whilst supporting the wider team.

• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly adaptable to Yard Sale's company values and behaviours and able to identify and champion these within candidates. You’ll never compromise on the quality of people joining the team!


Desirable:

• Experience working in recruitment either as a recruiter or administrator.

• Good understanding of job roles within hospitality. Ideally, you’ll work a couple of shifts in-shop to get to know us and our service style, it’s the best way to learn!

• Knowledge of ATS / HR systems - preferably Harri.

• Experience of using social media/IT platforms to support recruitment and employer brand awareness.

• Flexible schedule - Weekends may be required on an ad hoc basis with notice.


This is a hybrid role, a mixture of working from home as well as attending meetings which may take place in the London-based shops, we expect regular presence in the shops to get to know our people and live the YSP values! We’re offering a competitive salary based on a 45-hour contract with 28 days holiday and Christmas closure!
