Description

As a Zuma Bar Prep, you are responsible for assisting the preparation of ingredients, garnishes, and other items needed for the creation of cocktails and beverages, helping to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of our bar operations and deliver exceptional service to our guests.

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and portion ingredients, such as fruit juices, syrups, and garnishes, according to established recipes and standards, ensuring that they are fresh, accurately measured, and readily available for use by bartenders during service
  • Assist in the setup and organization of the bar area before service, including arranging bottles, glassware, and bar tools, and ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are in place and in good working order
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the bar prep area, including washing and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces, and disposing of waste and recycling materials according to established procedures
  • Assist bartenders during service by fetching and carrying items, restocking supplies, and preparing additional ingredients as needed, to help ensure smooth and efficient operations and minimize downtime
  • Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and ingredients, including liquor, mixers, and garnishes, and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to management

  • Previous experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant preferred
  • Proficient in knife skills including slicing and cutting
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
