The Opportunity

We’re looking for an organised and reliable Stores Person to join our team at Hiddenwell

Working behind the scenes, you’ll play an important role in keeping our operation running smoothly – making sure deliveries are received and checked correctly, stock is stored safely, internal requests are fulfilled efficiently and our Stores areas remain clean and organised

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being organised, takes pride in accuracy and is comfortable working in a busy environment where no two days are quite the same

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Receiving, checking and storing catering and beverage deliveries
  • Checking deliveries against orders and relevant documentation
  • Ensuring stock received is undamaged and everything ordered is accounted for
  • Reporting shortages, damaged goods and delivery discrepancies promptly
  • Issuing stock and accurately recording goods moving in and out of Stores
  • Preparing and fulfilling stock requests from departments across the business
  • Maintaining appropriate stock levels against agreed PAR levels
  • Highlighting low stock or shortages to the Head of Stores
  • Keeping Stores areas clean, tidy, safe and well organised
  • Ensuring stock is stored correctly and safely
  • Maintaining accurate stock records using ProcureWizard
  • Supporting stock control and ordering within agreed budgets
  • Assisting with monthly stock counts
  • Working closely with the Head of Stores, Kitchen and wider operational teams
  • Following Health & Safety, manual handling and safe working procedures
  • Supporting the wider operation when required

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is naturally organised, methodical and comfortable taking responsibility for their workload

  • Must have previous experience within Stores, stock control, goods-in, warehousing or a similar role
  • Must have excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must have confidence checking deliveries and maintaining stock records
  • Must have good communication and teamwork skills
  • Must have the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
  • Must have confidence using IT systems – experience with ProcureWizard would be an advantage
  • Must have an understanding of stock rotation and stock-control principles
  • Must have a reliable, practical and hands-on approach
  • Must have an understanding of Health & Safety and safe manual handling
  • Must have the ability to work independently and use your initiative
