A bit about what you will do...   

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager in our luxury hotel assist with managing the Food and Beverage operations, ensuring the team delivers warm, welcoming and exceptional service that consistently exceeds guests’ expectations. 

  • Assists the Food and Beverage Manager in all aspects of their duties. 
  • Lead by example and foster team dynamics to ensure the team remain focused on meeting guests’ needs and brand standards. 
  • Monitor the performance and service standards of the division through analysis of guest feedback and financial results, initiating corrective action as needed. 
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budget and manage departmental budgets to ensure targets and objectives are met. 
  • Ensure the security of all financial transactions.
  • Ensure monthly stock takes are being completed, evaluated, and appropriate action is taken. 
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. 
  • Ensure the Food and Beverage team are properly trained, certified and equipped to effectively carry out their work. 
  • Address guest concerns appropriately, solicit feedback, and build relationships to drive continuous improvement in guest satisfaction. 
  • Deputise in the Food and Beverage Managers’ absence.

  • Strong leadership and motivational abilities. 
  • Full understanding of financial aspects, budgeting and profit and loss. 
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills. 
  • Ability to use initiative in challenging situations and under pressure. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and drive to maintain high standards. 
  • Proven experience in managing, coaching, challenging, and developing teams.
  • Approachable and positive manner with a “can do” attitude. 
  • A smart and professional appearance. 
  • Proven track record in a similar position within a 5-star hotel. 
  • Excellent standard of English, both written and spoken. 
  • Comprehensive user of point of sale and inventory systems. 
  • Hospitality Management degree preferred. 
  • Experience of working with brand standards.
