Prep Team Member

Pay: $14+/hour (depending on experience & availability), plus more with tips (every tip given at the register is shared among all hourly workers)*.

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Prep Team Member to help keep our kitchen running smoothly. The Prep Team Member plays a critical role in ensuring we always have enough product prepped and ready to serve our guests. What You'll Do:

• Prep chicken tenders and bites to Dave's standards: washing, starch, and slurry
• Mix and prep spice blends for every heat level, from No Spice to Reaper
• Make sauces and sides daily: Dave's Sauce, kale slaw, mac & cheese, pickles, etc.
• Follow prep lists and par levels so the line is stocked before opening and through every rush
• Label, date, and rotate all product (FIFO) and track waste accurately
• Keep proper holding and storage temperatures and log food safety checks
• Receive and put away deliveries, checking quality and quantities
• Keep the prep area, walk-in, and equipment clean and sanitized throughout the shift
• Help on the fry line or with dishes when the team needs it
• Communicate low inventory or quality issues to the Shift or Restaurant Leader

What We're Looking For:

• At least 18 years old
• Ability to follow recipes and prep specs exactly, every time  
• Strong attention to detail and food safety habits  
• Reliable attendance and on-time arrival, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Able to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to bend and stoop and lift 25–40 lbs. comfortably
• Able to work in close quarters and around heat
• Positive, upbeat team player who takes pride in quality
• Commitment to guest satisfaction. Looks at restaurant operations from the guest's point of view
• Effective communicator with teammates and the restaurant management team

Transportation:

• Must have reliable transportation to work
