Position SummaryThe Shift Manager / Shift Lead is responsible for leading the restaurant during assigned shifts, ensuring operational excellence across both Front of House and Back of House. This role acts as the primary leader on duty, supporting team members, driving performance, and delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the team during assigned shifts and serve as the Manager on Duty
Set the tone and pace for the shift through positive leadership and clear communication
Ensure all FOH and BOH positions are properly staffed and executed
Monitor ticket times, food quality, and order accuracy during service
Support and coach team members in real time to drive performance and accountability
Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure issues are resolved promptly
Ensure adherence to HHC recipes, procedures, and brand standards
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the restaurant
Execute shift checklists, opening/closing duties, and cash handling procedures
Assist with inventory counts, prep planning, and waste control
Communicate operational issues, staffing concerns, or maintenance needs to management
Proven leadership ability with a strong sense of ownership
Ability to lead by example in both FOH and BOH environments
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and operational discipline
Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive during high-volume periods
Willingness to accept feedback, coach others, and grow as a leader
Previous shift lead or restaurant leadership experience preferred
Ability to stand and move for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
