Role Summary

A Busser at Vandelay Hospitality Group is responsible for providing support to servers and ensuring the dining area is clean, organized, and ready for guests. The Busser plays a vital role in enhancing the guest experience by maintaining a high level of hospitality and efficiency. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed, while exceeding expectations of all.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism with each team member and guest

  • Clear and reset tables promptly and efficiently to ensure a seamless dining experience

  • Assist servers with delivering food and beverages to guests

  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including floors, tables, and chairs

  • Restock dining room supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining areas for service

  • Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

  • Handle guest requests and inquiries with the utmost respect and hospitality

  • Attend Food, Wine, and Team training opportunities


Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant setting is preferred

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask

  • Positive attitude, a sense of responsibility, and ownership of the position

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
