Location: The Bird in Hand, Forest Hill

Job Description:

Are you a master of merriment, a connoisseur of camaraderie, and a wizard of the watering hole? The Bird in Hand is on the hunt for a Pub Manager who can juggle pints and punchlines with equal finesse. If you can keep the spirits high (and the spirits stocked), we want you!

Responsibilities:

  • Chief Cheerleader: Ensure every patron leaves with a smile, a story, and possibly a new best friend.
  • Stock Sorcerer: Keep the bar magically replenished with ales, lagers, and the occasional unicorn tears (or just gin, if the unicorns are on strike).
  • Event Maestro: Host legendary quiz nights, karaoke battles, and the occasional impromptu dance-off.
  • Peacekeeper: Mediate disputes over the last packet of crisps and ensure the dartboard remains a weapon of friendly competition.
  • Cleanliness Crusader: Maintain a pub that's cleaner than a whistle and shinier than a new penny.
  • Financial Wizard: Manage the till with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker and the charm of a seasoned bartender.

Stock Control:

  • Inventory Illusionist: Perform regular stock checks and ensure we're never caught short on the essentials (like beer, crisps, and more beer).
