Senior Internet Intellectual Property Enforcement Analyst


Description

The Maus Frères Group, (which is the company owning (inter alia) the fashion & lifestyle brands LACOSTE, GANT, AIGLE and TECHNIFIBRE), is looking to recruit a Senior Internet IP Enforcement Analyst to be responsible for monitoring and resolving disputes involving infringing intellectual property issues within the online environment. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in brand protection, with demonstrated expertise in legal online matters, but please note that this is not an attorney position.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead an innovative and complete online brand protection strategy and enforcement program, and work to continuously evaluate those strategies; make recommendations for improvement, as needed
  • Supervise all "Notice and Takedown" operations, for all platforms
  • Oversee vendor relationships and budget allocation to online investigations
  • Monitor effectiveness of our online vendors
  • Communicate with local e-Commerce teams and distributors in identifying key online marketplaces to target
  • Research high-value sellers for investigative targeting
  • Manage and coordinate online brand protection cases; instruct and work with outside law firms globally for assistance
  • Prepare frequent status reports for internal and external reporting
  • Track and analyse data for trends and compilation of statistics + KPI reports
  • Provide authentication reports
  • Work with law enforcement agencies on special projects related to online sellers
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

 

  • Education Minimum Requirement: BS or BA degree
  • Work experience in intellectual property and brand protection preferred but not required
  • Strong internet + digital skills; tech-savvy is a must
  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel + PowerPoint)
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently; capable of executing results on the above job responsibilities autonomously
  • Strong attention to details and strong analytical skills, to be successful with investigations
  • Must demonstrate organizational and time management skills; this position will handle a high volume caseload, and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment is required
  • Ability to maintain discretion, as needed
