Email Marketing Associate Manager


Description

The Email Marketing Associate Manager is an essential part of the Marketing team for retail business This role works cross functionally to craft and deploy relevant email campaigns to the US and Canadian databases. This person will work closely with global CRM teams and local marketing and designers to promote key brand priorities and initiatives.

 The email communication includes mass messaging and trigger campaigns, utilizing multiple platforms to improve KPIs and customer loyalty. Working closely with designers from ideation to execution, this person will manage the launch of campaigns and report on performance. This role will report to Sr. Manager of CRM, Loyalty and Email Manager and support loyalty initiatives, database hygiene and list growth strategies, and will be tasked with developing testing plans along with personalization and segmentation strategies, so an understanding of the fashion retail environment is strongly preferred.

 ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and maintain email marketing calendar aligning with key brand initiatives, product inventory and business trends
  • Maintain email marketing KPI reports on a weekly basis and report results to business stakeholders
  • Analyze results of current strategies and provide recommendations for optimization of sales results
  • Setup and deploy email campaigns, and monitor/resolve any QA issues
  • Improve campaign strategy based on smart triggers to increase personalization and decrease manual batch and blast
  • Develop testing and personalization strategies based on cohort analysis; test and launch improved series including, (but not limited to), welcome, at-risk and abandoned
  • Partner with CRM teams and analysts, locally and/or globally, to utilize customer data and cohorts to improve communication stream
  • Utilize campaign KPIs to report on email performance and to react and improve business trend
  • Work cross-functionally to support commercial business units such as retail and marketing with specific email campaigns
  • Act as power-user in all email platform tools and maintain strong relationships with third parties
  • Liaise with global and local internal/external teams
  • Keep abreast of new trends in order to make recommendations that keep us at the forefront of the industry

 REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • BA/BS required  
  • 3+ years in email marketing  
  • Understanding of and a passion for current fashion and industry trends  
  • Technical proficiency with email service providers and basic understanding of HTML
  • Strong grammar and command of the English language
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Obsessive about bettering the customer experience
  • Clear cross-team communication and strong presenter
  • Ability to multi-task and react to business trends
  • Willingness to learn about and participate in other areas of the e-commerce business: this is a very collaborative environment!  
  • Proven multi-tasker that can manage several projects at once under tight deadlines and accommodate rapid changes
