Description

We are looking for a Merchandise Planner to oversee the US Outlet channel. We are seeking an experienced planner who can handle high volumes, and a fast-paced environment. The planner is responsible for managing Open-To-Buy receipts, owning a diverse range of projects and analytics to support Pre-season and In-season allocation strategies and initiatives for multiple regions, implementing/refining allocation strategy to drive the Outlet business.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop and recommend category level sales, SKU plans, and inventory plans that align with department objectives and budget
  • Perform all necessary allocation activities to support inventory plans; Manage allocation strategies by category and by store
  • Manage Open-To-Buy and forecasting processes for respective areas and development of actionable analysis to drive business from topline and bottoms up level
  • Recommend and execute In-season markdown and pricing strategies which appropriately address aged inventory, maximize profitability, and increase sell-thru
  • Manage, review, analyze, & adjust Outlet inventory build/model stock levels for replenishment orders as needed
  • Partner with Buying/Merchandising team on Pre-season Merch and Assortment plans
  • Develop reports and dashboards for key sales, margin, turn and all other relevant KPI’s; own and communicate business recap with teams to present the financial objectives, action plans, opportunities and learning to enable strategic decision
  • Support a team-oriented, innovative, results- oriented environment

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, (or equivalent), and 3-5 years of retail experience in Merchandise Planning/Allocation
  • Experience in BI (Business Intelligence), Orli and QlikSense reporting systems preferred
  • Able to work well on a team, build effective relationships with a diverse groups of business partners
  • Flexible, resilient, and able to thrive in a dynamic, rapid paced environment
  • Strong planning and forecasting skills  
  • Able to communicate clearly and productively with various business partners to foster open communication and to establish good working relationships within the business
  • Must be proficient working with numbers to ensure correctness of data produced when compiling large volumes on a spreadsheet for analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into objectives to drive performance and financial objectives.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including formulas and data sorting
