Description

The Lacoste Brand Specialist is responsible for working with the Macy’s Manager on duty in handling the daily responsibilities of running the Men’s Lacoste shop in Macys International Mall in Miami, Florida. The primary responsibility of this individual is to ensure that sales, profit, visual, and merchandising goals and guidelines are met and exceeded by working with both the Macys staff and Lacoste Visual team.

  Essential Job Responsibilities: 

  • Meet and exceed Lacoste Sales plans for the Macy’s/Lacoste shops by working with the Macy’s staff on clientele books, encouraging multiple selling, demonstrating selling techniques and reviewing incentive updates through product and sales seminars.
  • Build strong relationships with store management, district management (DM/DP/DVP) and regional management to ensure local buy in for assortment, reorder and sales goals.
  • Work with Lacoste Visual Team to ensure shop is kept up to Lacoste visual standards
  • Work with Lacoste Visual in communicating new shipments of goods as well as markdowns/promotional calendar
  • Manage expectations of the Macy’s sales staff by setting goals with Sales Manager, encouraging a positive brand image and setting shop management and maintenance expectations.
  • Communicate Lacoste sales and customer service goals, operational procedures, performance standards, and policies to ensure Macys staff maintains and exceeds expectations.
  • Train staff on product quality, fit, fabric, price, value, style, care, and how to identify counterfeits.
  • Motivate sales staff by setting a positive example.
  • Assist on / execute floor moves and maximize point-of-sale collateral, including timely processing of new inventory, price changes and markdowns.
  • Safeguard the store’s inventory by adhering to the Company’s loss prevention program.
  • Work with RVMs and the National Visual Wholesale Manager weekly on visual and merchandising directives, updates, opportunities, questions, and callouts.
  • Review business with Store Manager, MTM, and DM/DP team to identify immediate and ongoing opportunities and issues.
  • Prepare solid feedback regarding your shops successes and challenges for the Brand Specialist bi-monthly calls with the Lacoste Wholesale team
  • Analyze business through weekly sales numbers, style selling, class selling, item selling, and size scales in order to best guide future orders and give guidance to Account Executive on how to regionally assort future lines.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

 

Requirements/Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years experience in the apparel industry within a retail or wholesale environment
  • Full understanding of store operations and wholesale partnership.
  • Training, interviewing, planning, organizational, and performance management skills.
  • Flexible schedule to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Possess computer skills and proficient in Word, Excel and Email.
