Summary:

The Pricing Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing pricing strategies for all product categories across Lacoste USA. This person will work cross-functionally with our Finance team to analyze company costs, industry pricing trends, and competitor pricing to develop strategies for the improvement of sales and profit across the total company.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Define regional RRP based on direction from global, local competitive analysis, etc.
  • Influence and implement pricing strategies, projecting financial impact and maximizing business opportunities focusing on sales, margin, and turnover
  • Partner with the Buying and Planning teams to execute promotional and permanent markdowns appropriate for their areas of business
  • Review and validate actual sales and gross markdowns against projections, adjusting markdown budget and developing strategies to drive sales
  • Conduct in depth weekly review of the business and partner with Buying team to identify underperforming items or categories and recommended price action
  • Participate in business strategy meetings with the Buying and Planning Team to understand overall goals, budgets, strategies, marketing constraints and key operating parameters
  • Determine optimal, progressive markdown strategies through the end of each product's life
  • Identify risks and opportunities based on product performance
  • Provide markdown forecasts to Merchant Planning and Buyers
  • Support the successful development, launch and rollout of new pricing tools
  • Responsible for managing POS and permanent markdowns to drive sales and gross margin
  • Partner with the Planner/Buyer to develop strategies and execute markdowns appropriate for their scope of business
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Related college degree preferred
  • 3-4+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in retail Pricing
  • Prior experience in merchandising, planning and analysis
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills including demonstrated aptitude with financial analysis and ability to generate insight from large and complex data sets
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively articulate viewpoint to executive leadership and ability to write compelling executive level presentations
  • Strong project management skills and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong financial acumen including experience with the retail and cost methods of accounting
