Position Summary

The Assistant Manager is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations. The Assistant Manager ensures high standards of service, quality, and efficiency while fostering a positive work environment. This role involves managing daily operations, mentoring staff, driving performance metrics, and upholding the values and culture of Noble Food & Pursuits.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following and may change or be adjusted at any time:

  • Assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including FOH and BOH.
  • Supervise daily service, ensuring that all guests receive a seamless and exceptional dining experience.
  • Develop and mentor staff by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support strategies to meet operational goals.
  • Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels while controlling labor costs.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts, oversee ordering, and monitor food and beverage costs.
  • Collaborate with FOH and BOH teams to optimize communication and service flow.
  • Resolve guest complaints and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Oversee health, safety, and sanitation compliance, ensuring adherence to all regulations.
  • Support marketing and promotional activities to drive revenue and guest engagement.
  • Prepare operational reports and communicate performance updates to the General Manager.
  • Lead opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and financial reconciliation.

Additional Skills and Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in restaurant management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
  • Advanced knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, cost control, and labor management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory management tools.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Flexibility with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks
  • May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally crouch and climb.
  • Working in an environment that may be exposed to hazardous equipment and situations and conditions that produce cuts or minor burns
  • Exposed to hot and cold temperatures, such as when working near ovens or retrieving food from freezers
  • Ability to be exposed to common allergens and unique ingredients
