Rooster’s Wood Fired Kitchen in Ballantyne is hiring an experienced Server to join our team.

Rooster’s is known for ingredient driven cooking with wood fired meats, fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables, and house made breads. Our dining room balances the relaxed feel of upscale casual service with the polish, attentiveness, and attention to detail expected in a strong full service restaurant.

We are looking for a Server who is comfortable in a fast paced, high volume restaurant environment and understands that great service is built through consistency, communication, table maintenance, and strong steps of service from greeting to final farewell. This role requires open availability, as shifts may include lunches, dinners, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Weekend availability is required.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide genuine, attentive service that reflects Noble Food and Pursuits standards
  • Guide guests through the menu with knowledge of dishes, ingredients, preparation, and pairings
  • Recommend wines, cocktails, spirits, and other beverages with confidence
  • Follow proper steps of service to create a smooth and polished guest experience
  • Maintain table awareness throughout service, including prebussing, marking, refills, pacing, and guest needs
  • Accurately take and deliver orders while supporting timing, communication, and guest satisfaction
  • Maintain your section throughout service and complete sidework, opening duties, and closing duties
  • Work closely with hosts, bartenders, managers, and the kitchen team to support a seamless service flow
  • Uphold cleanliness, organization, professionalism, and urgency throughout every shift
  • Support teammates and complete tasks assigned by management

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years of serving experience in a full service restaurant
  • Experience in a fast paced, high volume restaurant environment
  • Open availability, including lunches, dinners, weekends, and holidays
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Strong understanding of steps of service and table maintenance
  • Solid food and beverage knowledge
  • Wine knowledge is strongly preferred
  • Bartending experience is a plus, with possible opportunities to support the bar when business needs and performance align
  • Professional communication skills and a hospitality driven presence
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a team first mindset
  • Ability to stay organized, polished, and composed during busy service
  • Commitment to creating a warm, attentive, and consistent dining experience
