Pastry Chef de Partie – Join the Team at Pillar Hall 

Join the team at Pillar Hall, an exceptional restaurant & events venue located within the iconic Olympia in West London.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and skilled Pastry Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team. Start date: September 2026.

Located within the stunning Grade II listed Pillar Hall, our restaurant Idalia celebrates exceptional British produce. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for pastry, excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.

As Pastry Chef de Partie, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality desserts, pastries and baked goods while maintaining consistency, creativity and exceptional presentation across all services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries and baked goods within your section.
  • Consistently deliver high standards of quality, flavour and presentation.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the pastry section, ensuring excellent organisation and efficiency throughout service.
  • Deliver pastry across different service periods, including breakfast, afternoon tea, events and dinner.
  • Ensure all recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications are followed accurately.
  • Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and organisation at all times.
  • Monitor stock levels, minimise waste and ensure correct storage and rotation of ingredients.
  • Work closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Communicate effectively with the wider kitchen and Front of House teams.
  • Take a proactive, hands-on approach during busy periods while maintaining consistently high standards.

 Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or in a similar pastry role within a quality restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
  • A genuine passion for pastry and creating high-quality desserts.
  • Confidence in both classic and modern pastry techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen environment.
  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
  • High standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

The Role

  • £16.50 per hour.
  • 40-hour contract.
  • Monday to Sunday operation.
