Quality Greens Kitchen (“QGK”) is Hoboken, NJ's premier fast-casual restaurant, serving fine-dining quality cuisine in a fast-casual format. Open since Oct-2017, QGK has been recognized with 5 awards:

Build-out of the Year, 2018 (Hoboken Historic Board)
Consecutive wins "Best Health Food Restaurant”, 2018 and 2019 (Hoboken Girl – 65,000 followers/subscribers)

QGK is seeking a General Executive Chef to run our Hoboken store and position us for significant expansion. This position offers a rare and unique opportunity to get in on the ground level of a successful new concept, poised for growth. As our #1 employee, advancement opportunities could be unlimited, as we aim to expand our reach and build one of the nation’s leading “fine-casual” restaurants producing fresh scratch cooking at high volumes. The role is ideally suited for an ambitious and seasoned Executive Chef looking to substantially impact a young brand and help build this business into a large company, for which they could share in the rewards.
Required Skills/Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for all restaurant operations including financials (food cost management + labor efficiency + building sales)
All food ordering and Inventory tracking + overseeing freshness of received ingredients + enforcing proper FIFO procedures
Manage daily prep + kitchen operations
Communicate with team and guests to ensure quality control
Scheduling for FOH and BOH
COGS
Excellent leadership, including training / team building and developing high potential team members
Health department compliance and general restaurant cleanliness
Culinary skills/recipe development
Interviewing / hiring
HR / payroll
Strong analytical skills/good with numbers
Technical proficiency: computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office), kitchen equipment troubleshooting, etc.
Fluent in English. Spanish proficiency is a plus, but not required
Maintain poise in high stress environments
Lift 50 lbs. and stand and walk for extended periods of time
Team player, willing to put in the work when and wherever necessary
Organizational abilities on par with corporate kitchens
2 Years Restaurant Management experience and Food Safety Certification
Attention to detail is a must (CV’s with spelling/grammar errors will not be considered)
Job Type: Full-time. Must be willing to work 50-65 hours a week and be on call during off days if necessary.
