The Red Lion stands on the site of a medieval tavern dating back to 1434. During it's time a young Charles Dickens became a regular visitor. Dickens’ noted that the pub’s landlady was a kind-hearted soul, whose attitude towards him was ‘admiring as well as compassionate’. The Red Lion is probably the best pub in the city for lovers of political history. There's every chance you'll catch a glimpse of some of our government’s elite in the bar, too.

As such, we are looking for a hands on, front facing, General Manager to drive this site forward. Trade is consistent with huge numbers coming in daily for the classic British food and cask ale, overall sales regularly hit the £100,000 mark. Set over 3 floors, The Red Lion really is a unique venue steeped in history and being in the heart of Westminster it has both opportunities with a large Calendar of events and the challenges of protests to contend with.

The Red Lion has live in accommodation and is part of the Ale & Pie brand.
