The Job

The Head of Venue Operations will play a key role in the launch of future sites as well as the management of existing sites. Initially responsible for the direct management of 1 Operations Manager and the hands on management of 7 venues, you will also support the COO to ensure the day-to-day delivery of a spectacular guest service as per product design.

You will be a highly commercial, experienced, organised and confident individual who is able to build strong relationships across multiple venues and stakeholders to deliver excellent and consistent operations across all venues.

Nationwide travel will be required to fulfill this role

Whilst being based in London would be beneficial, we would consider regional candidates


Key Responsibilities will include:

Venue Management

  • Continually developing and implementing the long-term vision and strategy of the group
  • Responsibilty for the effective day-to-day operational management and successful delivery of products as per company guidelines and service across all venues.
  • Responsibility for making decisions, providing solutions and coaching to the Venue Operations Manager and Venue Management teams
  • Accountability for statutory compliance for all venues with relevant legislation.  You will conduct risk assessments, monitor performance, following, enforcing and reviewing standards and procedures.
  • Responsibility for collaborative and cross venue working, in line with Company values and for seeking out ways to continuously improve our guest experience.
  • Responsibility for talent planning, monitoring progress and performance and identifying Management training needs.
  • Implementing agreed new function initiatives in line with the overall functional strategy, ensuring that communication and delivery are fit for Venue purpose.
  • Working collaboratively with the Finance team to analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance against budget and operational goals. 
  • Inducting and training of new GM’s including reviews and probation sign off.
  • Identifying, implementing and driving Sales initiatives and Marketing campaigns.

New Venue Openings

  • Venue project lead for all Operational areas of a new opening
  • Responsibility for ensuring the new venue is operationally fully functional (all systems implemented and running effectively) within established time frame and agreed with the appropriate internal functions.
  • Responsibility for ensuring new venues are fully resourced against recruitment timelines and plan.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a previous Head of Operations role.
  • A strong track record in Operations Management in Hospitality 
  • Strong experience of leadership & coaching skills in a similar role/environment and the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Previous experience of managing food hygiene and brand standards including audits/external bodies.
  • Previous experience of being involved and understanding Health and Safety.
  • Strong Commercial Skills and Business Acumen.
  • Excellent hands-on management skills 
  • Experience in delivering a P&L whilst meeting operational expectations.
  • Multi-Brand experience is advantageous.
