We’re excited to be on the hunt for a Technical Business Analyst looking to get stuck into their next opportunity.

 

The Job

The Technical Business Analyst (BA) will report directly to the CEO and own the overall design and build of technical data models as well as recommending data driven process improvements based on business needs.  You will be a key member of our Strategy and Insight Team, a function tasked with putting data and insight at the heart of decisions on all things projects, venue openings and day to day performance.

You should be a self-driven and dedicated with strong design and coding skills working with the core Red Engine team to build OKR and KPI models. This will require a comprehensive knowledge in software design, back and front end development, and DevOps automation. You  will work with all areas to understand Red Engine model requirements, design implementation, and testing models in a fast paced agile manner. 

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with many of the core Red Engine disciplines including Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, People and Finance using a multitude of data types of both structured and unstructured data.

You should have strong interpersonal skills and feel comfortable working with a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities will include: 

  • Working with the Executive and Senior Management Team providing strategic frameworks including OKRs, Business Model Canvas and Gap Analysis.
  • Creating, centralising and standardising performance metrics across the entire business to aid the day to day operations as well as drive change.
  • Partnering with the wider team to develop a detailed understanding of the business and offer mentorship or technical solutions to identify business problems.
  • Identifying and analysing business needs, gathering requirements and defining the scope and objectives to drive business decisions and escalating effectively if there are delays.
  • Leading business and functional requirements gathering, analysis and documentation, including workflows, wireframes, user stories, acceptance criteria, data modeling, data, mapping, and data flows.
  • Preparing data models and analysis to identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets for values and new opportunities. Understanding conceptual data modelling, logistical data modelling, and physical data modelling.
  • Independently handling complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues 
  • Focusing on Scalability and reusability of data models and data products within the Red Engine team.


To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • A Degree or Masters in computer science, business analysis or economics
  • Extensive Technical Business experience
  • Strong knowledge of strategy models and concepts along with performance metrics
  • Experience working with visualisation tools such as PowerBi
  • Confirmed skills querying relational databases with query language
  • The ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies and be a detail-oriented individual 
  • Familiarlarity with project management and business analysis methodologies
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as experience working in dynamic team
  • Experience in modelling and business
  • Strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Solution & Architecture concepts
  • Experience with data engineering and database management concepts
  • Working knowledge of data scraping relational databases query authoring (SQL) 
  • Experience in python and Cloud technologies (Azure) an advantage 
  • Working knowledge on how to analyse, clean and interpret large data sets from multiple sources to identify key, trans patterns and insights from data
