The purpose of the Head of Business Development is to lead the Business Development team driving the outbound sales strategy for the Flight Club and Electric Shuffle brands. Providing detailed reporting and insights-led tactics, they will draw on their expertise and be confident in leading and inspiring a team, whilst reporting to senior stakeholders. 


Key responsibilities will include: 

Sales strategy   

  • You will need an analytical mind, ensuring clear correlation between strategy, opportunities sought and reporting on these activities.   
  • You will be creating best practice frameworks for team to ensure efficiencies in ways of working and maximising business opportunities.   
  • You will own national strategy and budgets, setting clear targets for the team, ensuring reporting is delivered on a timely basis.   
  • You will need to have a close alignment with reservations, global sales team and UK operations team to ensure that shared learnings and opportunities for efficiencies and best use of resourcing are embraced.  
  • You will demonstrate thorough product and customer knowledge, building strong relationships with management, understanding of venue operations and opportunities to drive the business forward.  

Business insights and reporting  

  • You will create and identify reporting opportunities to demonstrate performance and ROI created by Sales team.  
  • You will provide insights on venue performance, opportunities for growth and efficiencies.  
  • You will ensure CRM best practice and bring key learnings to the role, ensuring our offering remains spectacular.  

Team management  & networking

  • You will be a natural leader with the ability to encourage passion and strategic thinking, driving performance and delegating ownership and responsibility effectively. 
  • You will attend exhibitions and events - create best practice offering, managing the budget, strategy and target setting for key networking opportunities, supporting the team in delivery of this annually.   

To be successful in this role, you’ll: 

  • Have solid experience in a senior sales role, preferably in the hospitality industry  
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of design my night, Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI preferred  
  • Have and analytical mindset and a pro-active attitude  with strong interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Have a keen understanding of the market and competitor offering , with a clear drive and passion for selling supported by a  with strong knowledge of proven sales techniques   
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive, solution-driven outlook  
  • Be able to regular travel to London and nationwide  
  • Ideally have previous Head of Sales/Business Development experience in a similar size multi-brand hospitality group
