The Job

The Finance Manager will be responsible for continuous improvement of all accounting ,compliance and reporting, and developing and managing the reporting, analysis and governance function of Flight Club Darts group.

As a commercially aware, astute and ambitious finance professional, you will use your strong communication skills and a strategic mindset to help provide actionable insights to drive business performance.

The role is expected to work with the other members of the finance, programme and central management teams to ensure timely and accurate reports & information are given – both internally and externally.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

Audit and Tax relationship management:

  • Leading on annual and interim deliverables
  • Ensuring timely & accurate delivery of statutory reporting
  • Ensuring Group wide tax planning and regulatory adherence
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Own the Red Engine financial modelling and forecasting
  • Provide financial analysis and insights, and recommendations for decision making
  • Collaborating on the annual Group budget and regular reforecasting
  • Finance Build and PMO Lead
  • Lead the Finance process on any capital expenditure and ensure robust process into the rest of the finance team
  • Manage and review the work by the Finance Build team to ensure reporting is relayed to the Programme Team & Project Managers
Cashflow management and treasury oversight:

  • Manage cashflow forecasting
  • Implement a new cashflow / forecasting management system
  • Ensure compliance, and monitor banking relationships
  • Evaluate capital projects and business initiatives to assess their financial feasibility

Compliance reporting and risk management:

  • Oversee the preparation of compliance reports for debt and equity providers, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards
  • Implement robust risk management strategies to safeguard company assets and interests.
  • Strategically plan & lead the development of an Internal Audit & Risk / Compliance function
  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for stakeholders, including board, senior leadership team, investors and regulatory bodies
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

 To be successful in this role, you’ll:

  • Be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Have experience from the Leisure/Hospitality sector
  • Be resilient and experienced in delivering a consistently high-level level of performance under pressure 
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst prioritising effectively and meeting deadlines when working under pressure 
  • Be a quick learner with good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to task in hand
