The Job

The Payroll Assistant (20 hours Part time) will report to the Payroll Manager and will be part of the team responsible for the day to day running of a fortnightly payroll for 750 team members at Flight Club Darts and Electric Shuffle.

This part time role will require you to work every Monday and Tuesday (16 hours in our Angel islington office) and Thursday (4 hours work from home). You will work closely with the HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities will include:

  •  Accurate execution of venue fortnightly payroll through Fourth payroll system.
  • Support Payroll Manager with the processing of Tronc payments.
  • Provide support to venue managers, by answering queries.
  • Accurate administration of pension contributions and benefits schemes.
  • Input and manage court orders and child maintenance.
  • Complete ONS government forms.
  • May be required to support Payroll Manager with US Payroll processing.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
  • Other ad hoc tasks, as required,

To be successful in this role, you’ll

  • Have at least 1 year’s Payroll experience
  • Have knowledge of UK employment law and payroll legislation
  • Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
  • Be proficient in using excel
  • Demonstrate resilience and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise effectively whilst meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Have knowledge of Fourth Payroll (desirable, not essential)
  • Have Tronc processing experience (desirable, not essential)
  • Have a CIPP qualification (desirable, not essential)
