With a total of 18 incredible venues throughout the UK, we have ambitious plans and are never standing still, always looking for ways to innovate and improve. We’re excited to be on the hunt for a Customer and Market Insight Lead to join our in-house team and make a real impact. 

The Job 

As the Customer and Market Insight Manager in the Product Team, you will be passionate about understanding our customers and market dynamics. Your role will centre on uncovering market trends, competitor landscapes and our customer profile to inform strategic decisions across cities, regions and new territories. In a fast-paced environment where data, strategy, and innovation intersect, you will deliver insights that drive business growth and inspire action. The ultimate goal is for you to empower the organisation with knowledge that shapes meaningful customer experiences and sharpens our competitive edge. 


Key Responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our guest base, including demographics, psychographics, customer preferences, and guest feedback. 

  • Inform marketing, product development, and guest experience strategies. 

  • Gather, analyse, and interpret data on industry insights, customer behaviour, technology trends, and seasonal patterns.  

  • Provide actionable recommendations to the Business to keep Red Engine competitive and aligned with evolving guest expectations. 

  • Conduct competitor benchmarking, identify differentiation opportunities, and learn from industry leaders. 

  • Refine our unique value proposition to maintain a leadership position in the market. 

  • Develop and oversee the New Venue Openings intelligence framework to evaluate cities, regions and new territories. 

  • Analyse local demographics, location factors, regulatory environment, and community integration opportunities.  

  • Establish a consistent approach to each city to ensure successful launches and sustainable growth in diverse markets. 


To be successful in this role, you’ll:  

  • Have extensive experience in a similar role from a dynamic, customer-focused organisation. 

  • Have strong proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with experience using tools, e.g. Excel, Power BI. 

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of market research techniques, customer segmentation, and trend analysis. 

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights to non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Have extensive experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results on time and within budget. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Economics, or a related field would be an advantage
