The Job

Working with the Head of Dressing & Production and the Dressing & Production Manager, this opportunity  will support the running of the Dressing & Production life-cycle; from concept, buying, production and installation in our iconic venues. 

This is a full time secondment available for 3 months and is to be based out of our Islington HQ 4 days per week ( Thursday  is our work from anywhere day) with some UK travel required.

Responsibilities will be spread across three workstreams of New Venue Openings, Projects and BAU (Business as usual) for both our Flight Club and Electric Shuffle hospitality brands. This role also supports our international franchise partners in the US, Australia and Europe.   

In this role, you will  collaborate with the Interior Design and Programme Team as well as other internal stakeholders to understand a projects needs and work closely with them to ensure the successful dressing and production of all new and existing venues. You  will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects from dressing our fantastic venues, to developing concepts for production items such as fairground horses, signage, and bespoke production pieces.   


Key responsibilities will include:

Dressing:  

  • Identify opportunities for where to find venue dressing stock (shops, markets etc)  
  • Assist in the organisation of Antique Buying Trips (transport, assistance, storage)  
  • Maintaining relationships with key suppliers  
  • Working with logistics team – respond to low stock levels of categories   

Concept Documents:   

  • Work with the Dressing & Production Manager, and Senior Coordinator to assist with the development of Dressing & Production concept documents which are shared with internal teams, external suppliers and international partners   
  • Looking for new and innovative ways to push the dressing and production categories   

Workflow: 

  • Using the workflow set out by the Head of Dressing Production and the Dressing and Production Manager, ensure that the relevant steps are planned in for any project or task 
  • Update and maintain all relevant documentation (Venue Opening Tracker, Supplier lists, Warehouse Stock) is up to date along the course of the project or task 

Production: 

  • Work alongside the Production Project Manager and Design department to assist the creation of production guides 
  • Keeping suppliers responsible for delivering on time and on budget   

Suppliers & Partners: 

  • Assist in supplier communication so to accurately concept, cost and brief any new items 
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and communicate any re-orders of existing items with clarity of budget and delivery expectations 
  • Look for new and competitive ways to improve existing supply chain 
  • Work with international partners to find dressing and production suppliers and solutions 

Warehouse: 

  • Maintain all platforms that require cost reconciliation for dressing items in stock (Input and Output) 
  • Monitor crating week, ensuring all dressing items for assigned areas are organised and packed sufficiently 

Dressing & Installation: 

  • Assist Senior Co-ordinator and the Dressing & Production Manager and the Head of Dressing and Production with dressing allocation for new and existing venues 
  • Plan and crate for allocated areas for any new project or venue opening, whether that be for Red Engine, or our international franchise partners  
  • Maintain assigned areas for Dressing Trackers for national and international upcoming venues 
  • Request all relevant resources for Dressing Week including materials and tools  
  • During Dressing Week, organise for all crated dressing items and production items arrive on site  
  • Attendance for the Installation of dressing items  
  • Attendance for installation of key production pieces 

Skills & Experience 

  • A good understanding of creative studio processes  
  • Ability to work across multiple work streams and projects concurrently 
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and building strong relationships with external suppliers to achieve the outcomes required. 
  • Be enthusiastic, a team player, confident working under pressure to strict deadlines. 
  • Have an ability to work both independently and with supervision cohesively as part of a team 
  • Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and an ability to be flexible within all work matters. 
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels 
  • Creative degree is highly desirable
