Description

We are recruiting for an Events Manager at each of the following hotels:

  • London Marriott Hotel Regents Park
  • London Marriott Hotel Kensington
  • London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale

Are you passionate about hospitality, event management and delivering exceptional customer experiences? We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Events Manager to join either of our three London Marriott hotels’ Event Sales team.

As Events Manager, you will oversee the planning and delivery of complex events, working closely with customers, the Sales team and hotel departments to ensure every event runs smoothly. You will play a key role in maximising revenue, improving sales conversion and delivering outstanding guest experiences from the initial booking through to post-event follow-up.

Please note these are three individual positions. This is not a Cluster or Multi-Property role. Each Events Manager will be responsible for the Events management function of their individual hotel.

When applying, please clearly state which of the three hotels you would like to be considered for.

What is in it for you?

In addition to a competitive salary and discretionary quarterly performance-based bonus, you will also have access to a range of benefits, including:

  • Marriott Explore Discounts – Enjoy discounts on hotel stays and F&B across Marriott's global portfolio.
  • Free Meals on Duty
  • Pension Scheme – Participation in The People’s Pension.
  • Employee Assistance Programme – Free and confidential support for a range of personal and wellbeing challenges.
  • Career Development – Opportunities for career growth and internal opportunities within our managed portfolio.
  • Training & Development – Access to training programmes to support your professional development.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage complex events from the initial handover from Sales through to event delivery and post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate with customers, Sales and hotel departments to ensure all event requirements are clearly communicated and delivered.
  • Lead pre-event and post-event meetings to review requirements, resolve challenges and gather feedback.
  • Manage group bedroom allocations and meeting space to meet customer needs and maximise revenue.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell products and services, improve sales conversion and generate additional revenue.
  • Monitor event profitability and forecast bedroom, catering and audio-visual revenue.
  • Review customer billing and payments to ensure accuracy.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and act as their main point of contact throughout the event process.
  • Conduct site inspections and support the Sales team in securing new business.
  • Monitor customer feedback and resolve issues professionally, continuously improving the guest experience.
  • Work closely with hotel teams to maintain service standards and ensure successful event delivery.
  • Use sales data and performance insights to identify opportunities to improve revenue, conversion and efficiency.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with strong event management experience, excellent commercial awareness and the ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues.

Ideally, you will have:

  • At least five years' experience in event sales or management within the hotel or hospitality sector.

  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, with a proven ability to improve sales performance and conversion.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
