PAY: From $16.00 per hour, plus tips

WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Team leader to join our team at our newly opening Paris Baguette bakery café in Coral Springs, FL. As a "Founding Team" member, you will play a critical role in establishing our store's reputation for quality from day one. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new store and help build a strong, supportive team from day one.

Prior food handling, restaurant, or café experience is required (1+ yrs). We welcome candidates who demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a strong commitment to quality.

The Team Leader plays a key role in overseeing shift execution and supporting daily café operations. In addition to performing regular team member responsibilities, this role provides direction during shifts by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring standards are consistently met.

You will be responsible for operating café equipment, preparing beverages, stocking and organizing products for the next shift or next business day, and ensuring all areas are properly set up for success. As the leader on duty, you serve as a visible example of professionalism and hospitality while helping maintain smooth, efficient operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Lead each shift with professionalism, positivity, and accountability
  • Greet every guest with warmth, eye contact, and confidence
  • Deliver attentive, polished service in a fast-paced café environment
  • Stay knowledgeable about menu offerings and seasonal promotions to guide guests effectively
  • Delegate responsibilities clearly and ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and on time
  • Monitor team performance during the shift and provide real-time support and direction
  • Help resolve customer and operational issues during shifts and escalate to leadership as appropriate
  • Operate the POS system accurately and oversee transactions throughout the shift
  • Accurately prepare and coordinate in-store, pickup, delivery, and catering orders
  • Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other drinks with consistency and care
  • Ensure pastry and cake displays are stocked, rotated, fresh, and aligned with merchandising standards
  • Monitor product quality and communicate low inventory or sold-out items promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization across all front-of-house areas in accordance with food safety and brand standards
  • Assist with training and supporting new Retail Team Members
  • Help unload deliveries as needed
  • Support opening and closing duties based on scheduled shifts
Opening Shift Responsibilities May Include
  • Preparing the café for service
  • Properly packaging, labeling, and organizing baked goods for display
  • Ensuring pastry and cake cases are fully stocked, rotated, fresh, and visually aligned with merchandising standards
  • Verifying product quality and presentation before doors open
  • Ensuring guest seating and service areas are clean, organized, and presentation-ready
Closing Shift Responsibilities May Include
  • Completing sanitization procedures for all stations and equipment
  • Preparing beverage and service areas for the next business day
  • Securing and properly powering down equipment and systems
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Prior experience (1+ years) in a food service, restaurant, or café environment, with demonstrated leadership or shift supervision experience required.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and operational standards
  • Proficiency in POS systems with strong attention to cash handling accuracy
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and lead effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Comfortable with basic math and numbers for accurate transactions, counting, and product tracking
  • High sense of integrity, ownership, and accountability
  • Clear, respectful, and professional communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to work empathetically and effectively with diverse team members
  • Willingness to follow company policies, procedures, dress code, and brand standards
  • Flexibility to work all and varying shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required food safety certifications as required by law and company policy
PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds as required to perform job responsibilities
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments (including hot ovens, refrigeration areas, and ambient kitchen conditions)
  • Ability to safely work around common food allergens
