Security and Safety
Manager to play a pivotal role in the pre-opening and launch of Sofitel
Dublin Airport Hotel—a luxury flagship property managed by the award-winning
Arora Group in partnership with Accor’s Sofitel brand.
Directly connected to Terminal
2, this landmark hotel will redefine the guest experience at one of Europe’s
busiest international gateways and will feature:

A bit about what you will do...
The Security and Safety Manager provides visible, professional leadership across hotel security, workplace safety and emergency planning. Working with all departments and relevant airport and emergency-service partners, the role identifies risk, establishes proportionate controls, investigates incidents and ensures colleagues are trained to work safely and respond effectively
- Lead the successful pre-opening of the hotel's Security and Health & Safety function, including procedures, risk management frameworks, emergency planning and operational readiness.
- Develop and implement security, health & safety and emergency response procedures in line with legal requirements and company standards.
- Oversee the operation of CCTV, access control, alarm systems, fire life-safety systems and other security technologies.
- Conduct risk assessments, maintain the hotel Safety Statement and ensure corrective actions are implemented and monitored.
- Act as the hotel's Health & Safety Officer, providing expert guidance and support to managers across all departments.
- Lead the hotel's security operation, protecting guests, colleagues, visitors, assets, information and property while maintaining a professional and guest-focused approach.
- Manage key control, contractor access, visitor management, lost property procedures and incident response activities.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness, including fire drills, evacuation exercises, business continuity planning and crisis response protocols.
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, near misses and security events, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Develop and deliver security, health & safety, manual handling and emergency response training programmes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with emergency services, regulatory bodies, insurers, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Chair safety meetings, coordinate safety representatives and provide regular risk and compliance reports to hotel leadership.
- Monitor audit results, incidents, claims and emerging risks, driving continuous improvement across safety and security operations.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, fire safety requirements, data protection and company policies.
- Lead, coach and develop the Security team, ensuring high standards of professionalism, readiness and operational effectiveness.
More about you...
- Substantial security and safety experience in a hotel, large public venue, airport environment or comparable 24-hour operation, including previous team-leadership responsibility.
- Strong working knowledge of occupational health and safety, risk assessment, accident investigation, fire and emergency planning, security operations and asset protection.
- A recognised manual-handling instructor qualification and the competence to deliver and document practical manual-handling training are required.
- A relevant occupational health and safety qualification is strongly preferred; fire-safety, first-aid responder, investigation or emergency-management training is also desirable.
- Any security licence or authorisation required for the duties personally performed must be maintained, together with current knowledge of applicable professional standards.
- Experience with CCTV, access control, alarms, incident-management systems, radios and Microsoft Office applications.
- Calm and decisive under pressure, with sound judgement, discretion, integrity and the ability to manage sensitive incidents confidentially.
- Excellent written reporting, investigation, training, communication and influencing skills, with a collaborative and guest-focused leadership style. Flexibility to respond to incidents and work across a 24-hour hotel operation, including evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.
