POSITION SUMMARY
The Team Lead supervises daily operations to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained. Always maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs all tasks and responsibilities of a Sandwich Artist and Shift Leader as outlined in their respective job descriptions.
- May manage a staff of approximately 4 to 20. Assigns, oversees, and evaluates work ensuring daily checklist is complete. Recommends promotions, demotions, transfers, or termination of employees.
- Coordinates staff so that standards of cleanliness are maintained as outlined in the Operations Manual and Buckley Policy and Procedure book.
- As needed, coordinates, and prepares, food preparation to ensure that food safety and operations standards are maintained.
- Performs paperwork duties as needed, i.e., inventory and truck responsibilities.
- Performs banking tasks as needed, i.e., change for register and banking.
- Assists management with all management duties and has the capabilities to successfully run the store without a manager if the need arises.
- Performs all Team Leader duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Buckley Policy and Procedure book.
- Completes University of Subway courses as directed.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- Maintain valid ServSafe Manager certification.
- Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to operate a computerized Point of Sales system/cash register.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to deal with all levels of employees, and all situations with customers.

- Lifting and carrying 30 pounds or less.
