The role of Expediter: 

  • Act as the liaison between the kitchen and the front of house, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of dishes to the dining area. 
  • Inspect plates for presentation, accuracy, and adherence to established standards before they leave the kitchen. 
  • Maintain constant communication with kitchen staff, waiters, and management to facilitate a smooth flow of orders. 
  • Coordinate the timing of dishes to ensure that they are served in the proper sequence. 
  • Address any issues or discrepancies in orders promptly and professionally, collaborating with kitchen and FOH staff to find solutions. 
  • Collaborate with waiters to communicate any relevant information to guests, such as delays or modifications to their orders. 
  • Work efficiently to minimize waiting times and ensure a positive dining experience for guests. 
  • Ensuring there is enough Mise en Place for the days service. 
  • Full-Time and Part-Time roles available. 

What we’re looking for in an Expediter: 

  • Proven experience as an Expediter or in a similar role within a similar restaurant. 
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality control. 
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. 
  • Is able to lead positively and promote a sense of collaboration and professionalism. 
  • Excellent product knowledge to enhance guest experiences.  
  • Proficient and knowledgeable on Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation. 
  • Has the right to work in the UK. 

Expected earnings from £17.42 per hour
