Hiring for AM and PM Shifts


Role Summary

A Food Runner at Vandelay Hospitality Group is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to the dining tables efficiently and accurately. The Food Runner plays a critical role in ensuring that guests receive their orders promptly and correctly, enhancing the overall dining experience. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed, while exceeding expectations of all.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism with each team member and guest

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to the guests

  • Assist servers in providing attentive and anticipatory service to guests

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expo areas

  • Help with the setup and breakdown of expo areas

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless coordination

  • Assist in resolving any guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously

  • Support team members with side work and other operational tasks as needed

  • Attend Food, Wine, and Team training opportunities


Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant setting

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask

  • Positive attitude, a sense of responsibility, and ownership of the position

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
