About the Opportunity

A Host at Jack & Harry’s plays an essential role in shaping the guest experience before anyone is ever seated. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, Hosts set the tone for the level of hospitality, professionalism, and warmth that defines our brand.

We are not simply looking for restaurant experience. We are looking for individuals who understand elevated guest experience and relationship-driven hospitality at the highest level. Whether your background comes from fine dining, luxury retail, boutique fitness, hotels, concierge services, nightlife, wellness, or another polished client-facing environment, we value individuals who naturally create connections and make people feel genuinely cared for.

This role is ideal for someone who notices details, remembers names and preferences, communicates with poise, and thrives in fast-paced environments where presentation, organization, and emotional intelligence matter.


Core Responsibilities

  • Own the first and last impression of every guest’s experience

  • Greet guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality

  • Build meaningful guest relationships by learning names, preferences, and creating memorable interactions

  • Manage reservations, waitlists, walk-ins, and dining room flow with confidence and precision

  • Utilize RESY to oversee reservations, guest notes, private bookings, events, and special requests

  • Review guest profiles prior to service to support a highly personalized hospitality experience

  • Answer phones with professionalism, warmth, and polished communication

  • Strategically seat guests to balance pacing, service flow, and overall dining room experience

  • Communicate clearly and collaboratively with managers, servers, and support staff throughout service

  • Maintain composure, professionalism, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Support opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities to maintain an organized and polished host stand


Requirements

  • At least 18 years old

  • Experience in a client-facing role where hospitality, presentation, and guest relationships were held to a high standard preferred

  • Backgrounds in fine dining, luxury retail, boutique fitness, hotels, concierge services, nightlife, wellness, or similar guest-focused environments are highly valued

  • Professional and polished written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal presence

  • Naturally hospitable, detail-oriented, organized, and highly collaborative

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to professionalism

  • Familiarity with RESY or similar reservation platforms is a plus, but trainable for the right individual

  • Desire to learn, grow, and develop within a hospitality-driven organization

  • Certified for food handling as required by state and local agencies


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

  • Ability to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
