We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager to take the reins at this beautiful pub in the West Country.

With a rich history, previously a Windmill and also the HQ of the Home Guard during World War II and undoubtedly one of Fuller’s most beautifully situated businesses, The Windmill occupies a hillside location with stunning panoramic views of the Severn Estuary. It is without a doubt the best location in Portishead, famous for our Sunday Roasts, family occasions with welcoming service, and high-volume food all delivered at pace. A slick high volume destination food house where the food offer is targeted to attract a wide range of mass market customers, but with the ability to deliver premium options and occasions without breaking a sweat.

The Windmill Inn attracts a varied customer base and is heavily food led and had a complete refurbishment and electrification in 2024. The Windmill sits in the Classic food concept.

The next General Manager will need to have experience in a high-volume food business with an element of seasonality. The ability to train and motivate the team to offer great service especially during peak trading will be essential. Building and maintaining good online reputation, as well as some strong local marketing will help the business to continue to grow.

This is a Live In position and comes with a stunning family cottage.  The Windmill Inn is a perfect appointment for an experienced General Manager looking for their next challenge in a food led business.
