Our obsession with going above and beyond is inspired by the Persian concept of “Nooshe jân”. Used in a similar way to “bon appetit”, it also has a deeper meaning that translates more like “may it nourish your soul”. Because the experience we want to create goes way beyond a nice meal. We talk about our drinks, service, and atmosphere because we know they’re as important to customers as our food.<br> <br>Every detail, from the quality of the ingredients, to the lighting, acoustics, and the pacing of the meal, feeds the feeling of well-being our customers leave with.<br>Founded by acclaimed Brighton-based restaurateur Razak Helalat, the Black Rock Restaurants Group comprises Brighton’s The Salt Room, The Coal Shed in London and Brighton, Burnt Orange and most recently Tutto.
