Restaurant Sales Manager will be an integral part of our FOH team, creatively developing our business and driving customer experience.

Restaurant Sales Manager will be an integral part of our FOH team, creatively developing our business and driving customer experience. A positive energy with a proactive attitude and able to demonstrate a passion for hospitality, sales and achieving challenging goals. As an advocate for our Restaurant, you will be at the forefront of our Sales activity and expanding customer connections.

A Sommelier, wine expert, duties include helping customers and servers select wine pairings, procuring and managing wines, and conducting the wine service.

Takes responsibility for the financial business performance, customer experience, staff and makes sure their premises run smoothly.

Restaurant Sales Manager have responsibilities of ‘front of house’, supervises the FOH staff of a restaurant, including the cleaners and the front of house staff, Servers, Bartenders and Hosts, including hiring staff and making sure they are

·       Become our restaurant ambassador with a strong knowledge on our offering and product, effectively finding solutions to exceed customer expectations.

·       A proactive networker with a focus on building and developing local and international contacts

·       Become an expert in the local market trends and competitor activity to identify new business.

·       Engage in pro-active sales activities and networking events outside of the hotel in order to develop relationships with prospective customers and generate new leads and business.

·       Opportunity to challenge the norm and develop creative ways to sell and promote Bombay Story

·       Showcase the restaurant through innovative site inspections, sales events and familiarization trips Hiring and training staff:

·       Creating and updating the wine list in coordination with chefs and the Food and Beverage Manager

·       Recommend food and wine pairings

·       Advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices

·       Overseeing the hiring process, onboarding new employees, and facilitating onboarding materials.

·       Maintaining safety standards: Ensuring the restaurant is in compliance with health and safety regulations.

·       Stocking inventory: Ensuring that the restaurant is properly stocked with all necessary food and beverage items.

·       Driving sales and promotions: Planning and executing promotional campaigns to drive sales and attract new customers.

Some of the important duties and responsibilities typically involve:

·       Leading by example

·       Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities.

·       Ensure that all guests are treated with respect and receive excellent customer service.

·       Organize and oversee all restaurant operations such as ordering supplies, scheduling shifts, etc.

·       Analyze customer feedback and make necessary changes to improve customer satisfaction.

·       Monitor and analyze financial activity, making sure that the restaurant is profitable.

·       Ensure that restaurant is properly stocked, clean, and organized.

·       Plan the restaurant’s personnel structure, recruiting and training staff as needed.

·       Maintain high standards of safety and sanitation.

·       Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation, Keeping the restaurant according to regulatory guidelines

·       Ensuring all food safety procedures are strictly followed according to sanitary regulations.

·       Working with food and drink suppliers

·       Following all company policy and procedures regarding dealing with cash, equipment, and property.

·       To assist the management and keeping the morale of the Team up through social and educational events.

·       Overseeing stock levels and ordering supplies

Skills & Competences

·       Previous experience as a restaurant manager.

·       Positive energy and proactive attitude with a passion for hospitality, sales and achieving challenging goals.

·       Exceptional communication skills with strong ability to connect with people, lead through the sales process, negotiate and close deals

·       Thrives off meeting new people and building new relationships

·       Commitment to delivering excellent customer service

·       Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under own initiative

·       Previous experience in a sales/ customer facing role with a proven track record of success and customer satisfaction

·       Experience as a Sommelier, Wine Steward/Stewardess or similar role

·       Ability to create tasteful food and wine pairings

·       Extensive knowledge of different wines and which regions produce each type

·       Excellent communication and organisational skills

·       A friendly and approachable manner

·       Thorough understanding of restaurant management procedures and customer service practices.

·       Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Qualifications and Requirements of the position

·       English as a first or second language (spoken, written and reading)

·       Well groomed and presentable

·       Discretion and Loyalty

·       The ability to multi task

·       Excellent timekeeping

·       Flexible working hours (incl. working on bank holidays)

·       Necessary working permits
