The primary responsibility of the Bartender & Front of House Assistant is to support bartenders and waiting staff, ensuring they have everything they need to serve guests efficiently and deliver an excellent dining experience.
Their duties include replacing kegs, restocking glasses and other supplies needed to make drinks, and keeping the dining space clean throughout their shift. Helping busy bar & waitpersons deliver orders to guests’ tables promptly (running drinks and food orders to the customer’s table). Supporting the bar and front of house teams during busy periods to help maintain a smooth and efficient service.

Important duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and handle inquiries or complaints professionally.
· Order Delivery: Transport food and drinks to the correct guest tables quickly and safely.
· Table Management: Set and clear tables, polish cutlery, and ensure the
dining area remains tidy and welcoming. Pre-bus tables by removing dirty dishes and empty
glassware. Assist with wiping down and resetting tables between guests.
The Role

· Working as a team player on a daily basis, taking direction from the Manager and Supervisor. · Work in accordance with our Standard Operating Procedures and within the parameters of your training and the guidelines you are given. · Welcomes customers in a friendly, upbeat manner when they arrive at a restaurant. · Introduces customers to the menu and announces daily or seasonal menu specials. · Keep the bar stocked with liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins and all other necessary items before and during service hours. · Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, change beer kegs and restock napkins and straws. · Clean up the spills, remove the glassware and organize the counter. · Keep the bar area neat and clean. · Delivering food and drinks to guests’ tables promptly. · Restocking glasses and other supplies needed for drinks preparation and service. · Keeping the bar and dining areas clean and tidy throughout the shift. · Continue with your personal development within the Bombay Story team and partake in training and support sessions when scheduled. · Work safely with all equipment on site, and make sure the instructions are followed. · Maintain the highest cleanliness standards for the premises and your own personal hygiene too. · Strictly adhere to our HACCP (Health & Safety and Food Hygiene) procedures and make sure any paperwork you are responsible for is filled in and up to date. · Our customers mean the world to us, and we expect all of our team to influence the way they feel by conveying positive energy with a friendly and professional approach. |

· Basic knowledge of beer, liquors, and flavour profiles
· Ability to lift heavy items (20 pounds or more)

· An understanding of IT and POS (point-of-sale systems)
