Position Summary
The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for paid digital ads, SEO, and email and text for three or four of City Winery’s markets. In addition, the position will oversee two Digital Marketing Coordinators who are responsible for the same tasks in City Winery’s remaining six markets. The position has great potential to grow as the company continues to expand with new locations.
The Digital Marketing Manager position at City Winery is a thrilling way to get strategic and hands-on experience in paid and owned media at a fast paced live entertainment company that is also a fully functioning restaurant and winery. This is a managerial position, strong experience implementing and growing paid and owned digital media is required. Experience managing a team is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement digital ad campaigns for all shows taking place at three or four different City Winery locations on Meta, Google, Spotify, Yelp.
Oversee digital ad implementation by Digital Marketing Coordinators in City Winery’s others 6+ markets.
Evaluate new ad platforms, make new ad platform recommendations using ROI analysis, implement new ad platform experiments and measure impact.
Manage and monitor ad spend, CPA, and ROAS to ensure effective results across all platforms that City Winery uses.
Provide timely weekly and monthly reporting on Digital Ad, SEO, and Email/Text performance across all markets
Collaborate with the local marketing teams at each venue to ensure that ads align with overall marketing strategy.
Consistently review and write website content. Identify, use, and improve target keywords. Implement SEO best practices.
Identify and monitor methods for improving SEO in existing and new campaigns.
Track and report on SEO metrics by location.
Oversee and train Digital Marketing Coordinators on SEO best practices and lessons learned.
Create and send email, text, and in-app push notifications for select company wide seasonal campaigns and automated journeys.
Use AB testing tools to improve email, text, and push notifications. Track email, text, push notification KPIs to report on progress.
Set annual goals for digital ads, SEO, and email / text / push and track progress.
Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a desire to ask questions to gain clarity or insight into a task.
Extensive understanding of digital marketing principles.
Inherently tech savvy and passionate about how technology can create great experiences.
In depth experience with Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads. Experience with Spotify, Yelp, and other ad platforms is a plus.
Extensive experience using Google Analytics, including building dashboards and drilling down to product and buy flow analytics by channel. Experience using more advanced analytics applications is a plus.
Track record of creating and growing email, text, and push notification marketing campaigns.
Strong grasp on SEO principles.
Experience defining customer journeys and implementing all digital touch points.
Ability to oversee a team, yet also work independently and meet deadlines. Strong sense of self discipline, i.e. leads by example.
Great attention to detail.
Passion for music, food, wine and the entertainment industry.
Position is based in New York City and may require some travel to other City Winery locations.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferred.
5+ years in digital marketing is required with extensive experience in the aforementioned digital ad, SEO, and email/text applications.
