THE DYLAN COASTAL RESORT · LAUGHARNE
Front of House & Bar Team
Commis de Rang · Commis de Bar
£27,000 per annum plus tronc · Full-time, 40 hours per week
Part-time positions available on the bar — salary and tronc pro rata to contracted hours
Milk Wood House, The Dylan Coastal Resort, Laugharne, Carmarthenshire
We’re not offering you a shift. We’re offering you a trade.
Good hospitality is a craft, and it’s learned properly or not at all. We’re building a Food & Beverage team at The Dylan Coastal Resort around that idea—which is why we fund the qualifications ourselves, and why we’d rather bring someone through from Commis to management than advertise for it later.
If you want to learn wine properly, learn the bar properly, and have a clear route to running a department, read on.
The roles
Commis de Rang — Front of House
£27,000 per annum plus tronc · Full-time, 40 hours per week
Working alongside the Chef de Rang on section, learning service from the floor up.
Suits someone who enjoys people and wants to be properly good at this. Some restaurant experience is helpful, but attitude matters more — we’ll teach you the rest.
Commis de Bar — Bar Team
£27,000 per annum plus tronc · Full-time, 40 hours per week
Part-time also available — salary and tronc pro rata to your contracted hours
Learning the bar from the bottom up, with the training to go a long way with it.
Suits someone curious about drinks and happy in a busy bar. No experience needed if you’re willing to learn properly.
Your development with us
This is the part we’d most like you to read. Every course below is fully funded by the company — not a loan, not a contribution.
After six months’ continuous employment
After two years’ continuous employment
That’s a structured path from your first service to running a department, paid for by us. [Training is subject to a written training agreement, which we’ll go through with you before you enrol.]

What we offer
Immediate start available
New to hospitality and not sure you’d be right? Get in touch anyway — most of our best people started exactly there.
