Founded in 2006 by David Loewi, the mission has always been the same, to provide each and every guest with a luxury experience when stepping foot into our restaurants, bars and hotel. German Gymnasium was originally designed as the first purpose-built gym in England, and used by the German Gymnastics team for the 1864 Olympics. Now a Grade II listed building, German Gymnasium, is conveniently situated in the heart of vibrant King’s Cross. Serving an all-day grand café style menu across the ground floor and vast terraces, for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. With a nod to its heritage the menu reflects a Germanic influence. The restaurant on the upper floor has its own spectacular bar and semi-private dining room with views of the award-winning interior to match.

A bit about what you will be doing:

We're looking for a dynamic and customer-centric Assistant General Manager to join our German Gymnasium in Kings Cross. This pivotal role calls for a passionate leader who prioritizes guest satisfaction and fosters a positive team environment, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience. While an understanding of financial management is required, your primary focus will be on nurturing our team members, optimizing service standards, and cultivating a culture of excellence. As a key support to the General Manager, you'll assist in implementing strategies for growth and success. We're seeking ambitious candidates hungry for growth, with aspirations to eventually step into the role of General Manager and lead our team to new heights of achievement.
