Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Pastry Sous Chef to join our exceptional team of service leaders.
This role supports the Pastry Chef in overseeing daily operations of pastry production and service, and plays a key part in developing and executing creative, high-quality pastry offerings using refined techniques and premium ingredients.


Your Responsibilities:

• Assist the Pastry Chef in leading the pastry team and ensuring consistency in production and service.
• Oversee designated areas of pastry production and ensure smooth execution during service.
• Execute and help develop recipes; uphold quality and presentation standards in all pastry items.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all core pastry techniques including mixing, baking, finishing, decorating, and plating.
• Participate in the creation of seasonal desserts and specials for both the restaurant and bakery.
• Maintain inventory and communicate ingredient or equipment needs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance in all work areas.
• Help train, mentor, and support pastry team members, fostering a positive and professional kitchen culture.
• Lead by example with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Your Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of professional pastry experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bakery setting.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; formal pastry or culinary training is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and interpret documents in clear English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrates strong technical skill, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.
• Passionate about pastry and hospitality, with a desire to learn and grow.
