What We’re Looking For

  • You take pride in crafting excellent sushi
  • You enjoy engaging with guests and creating a welcoming experience

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare sushi boxes and customer orders
  • Set up and break down the sushi bar station
  • Keep a clean, organized workstation
  • Prep ingredients, including breaking down and portioning tuna, hamachi, and salmon
  • Make precise cuts of fish loins and fillets for sushi
  • Assist the Executive Sushi Chef as needed
  • Plate and present dishes with care and precision
  • Maintain sushi inventory and storage
  • Follow NYC health department codes
  • Interact with guests in a professional, friendly manner
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with the team

What You Bring to the Team

  • 1+ years of experience in a sushi bar setting
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn from the Chef and develop your skills
  • Availability to work nights and weekends
