Pay & Benefits:

  • Seafood Market Counter Staff - Hourly Rate- $20.00/hr PLUS TIPS

About You:

  • You take pride in delivering exceptional customer service 

  • As a seafood market counter staff, you enjoy interacting with guests and making them feel welcome.

  • You value a workplace where you look out for your co-workers, and they look out for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking and preparing customer orders including cleaning and portioning product

  • Delivering excellent customer service to customers

  • Merchandizing products

  • In-depth knowledge of all products in section

  • Stocking and organizing packaging supplies as needed

  • AM setup and PM breakdown of sections

  • Maintains a clean and organized workstation

  • Reads tickets and prepares customer orders.

  • Presents and plates excellent food for service.

  • Stores and keeps track of sushi inventory items.

  • Cleans and sanitizes work area.

  • Interacts with guests in a professional and welcoming manner.

  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with all co-workers.

  • Follows work schedule.

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years experience in a customer service and/or working with seafood

  • Excellent knife skills.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, learn quickly and show initiative.

  • Good time management and communication skills.

  • Understanding of NYC health department codes.

  • Willing to learn and retain knowledge from our Fish Cutters

  • Willing to work nights and weekends
