Job description

Mountain, the new restaurant from Tomos Parry and the team behind Brat has opened in an historic building on a classic Soho street. An atmospheric wood grill and wine bar, inspired by the ‘sea and hillside’ cooking of Catalan cooking and the Welsh terroir, plates of seafood from the plancha in local fisherman's bars and long lunches in vineyards with our favourite winemakers.

Following a successful opening, we are settling into Soho and as our team continue to grow and develop, we are looking for a Reservations Manager to complete our management team, working within a growing reservations team to lead and establish Mountain’s door and bookings policy. This is an exciting role and time to join Mountain and Super 8.

The right candidate will be confident to recruit, lead and train a team of both hosts and FOH staff in all aspects of the host role, will enjoy working services on the door to build a rapport with our guests and lead in building guest profiles. This role will also provide an opportunity to bring industry knowledge and experience to our processes, working alongside our bookings partner to expand use of the system to effectively accommodate guest requests and ensure a smooth service. Developing our bookings policy and working alongside brand and marketing to lead events.

Super 8 is a small, independent group of unique restaurants. We are founded on the belief that beautiful produce and authentic cooking can be served in fun, atmospheric restaurants which are engaging places to eat and to work. We are known for our innovative farming partnerships and progressive team development programs. Over the years Smoking Goat, Kiln and Brat have gained awards including Michelin stars, Worlds 50 Best, National Awards and World Restaurant Awards.

Across the company we have an exceptional record for career progression. We regularly develop KPs to CDPS, Commis to Head Chefs, Waiters to Co-Owners.

As part of Super 8 our teams have access to a wide range of benefits and opportunities across the company.

· 50% staff discount across the group along with intercompany discount from a selection of London restaurants.

· Through close relationships with our suppliers, all of our teams have the opportunity to take part in our annual wine harvests, learning and cooking trips to the farms we work with and seasonal staff produce boxes.

· Opportunity to work closely with our suppliers and talented people in the industry to deliver innovative and exciting collaborations and events.

· Access to full training and development both in house and working alongside our external training partners in areas such as Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Management development and coaching, Food Safety, Health and Safety and Wine training.
