Our Snooze Story

We are Snooze, the OG brunch leaders who have never stopped flipping the script on breakfast, powered by culinary creativity, unmatched hospitality, and a passion for our communities. Our Snoozers bring their authentic selves to work every day.  This allows us to serve our Guests through genuine care and radical hospitality.

Joining Snooze means joining a team that disrupts the ordinary. Our menu is built on responsibly sourced ingredients—cage-free eggs, respect for animal welfare, and no added hormones or antibiotics—and bold ideas that energize Snoozers and Guests alike. Our impact goes beyond the plate, we’ve invested over $1M into local communities and created inclusive, vibrant spaces for the neighborhoods we serve.

We know that, just like pancakes, our people are better with passion, purpose, and pride. Here, you’ll find more than a job. You’ll find a place to fuel your future, be celebrated for who you are, and help us make mornings brighter, bolder, and better for everyone. Will you join us?

What does your role bring to the table?

A significant role in the future and growth of Snooze! The Senior Director of Construction is responsible for end-to-end execution of all Snooze construction activity, including new restaurant openings, remodels, refreshes, patios, and landlord-driven capital work. This role owns schedule, budget, quality, and risk across the construction lifecycle, from LOI handoff through certificate of occupancy and post-opening closeout.

This is a hands-on executive role, not a purely strategic position. The Senior Director of Construction will build scalable systems, develop internal and external teams, and bring rigor, predictability, and transparency to Snooze’s growing development pipeline while protecting brand standards and operational outcomes.

Reporting to the Chief Development and Strategy Officer, the Senior Director of Construction is expected to communicate at the highest level with the RSC, peers on their team, Regional Managers, and vendors to ensure that communication flows to all team members clearly and in a timely manner.  This role serves as the operational leader for new restaurant development, with direct oversight and accountability for opening multiple restaurants a year.

    • Cost drivers and value‑engineering opportunities
  • Own construction budgets used for deal approval and REC review

Budget, Controls & Financial Discipline

  • Establish and enforce standard construction budgets and cost tracking
  • Maintain visibility to forecast vs. actual spend across all active projects
  • Partner with Finance on invoice review and approvals, change order governance, and CapEx forecasting and variance explanations
  • Ensure compliance with Snooze’s contract approval and financial controls

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Build and manage a network of General Contractors, architects and engineers, specialty consultants, and landlord‑directed vendors
  • Develop preferred partner programs while maintaining competitive bidding discipline
  • Hold vendors accountable to safety, quality, schedule, and cost standards

    • Design (brand execution and prototype evolution)
  • Communicate clearly with executives on risks, tradeoffs, and decisions
