What does your role bring to the table?

The Junior Brand Designer is an entry-level opportunity for an emerging creative to build their skills while helping shape how Guests and Snoozers experience the Snooze brand. Reporting to the Senior Designer of Brand Creative, this role creates and adapts branded content across social, email, digital media, menus, merchandise, print, restaurant collateral, photography, and other evolving creative needs. Their work will support key business priorities, including driving Guest engagement, promoting menu launches and restaurant openings, strengthening brand consistency, and equipping restaurant and support teams with effective creative materials. Through hands-on experience, feedback, and collaboration with experienced creative leaders, the Junior Designer of Brand Creative will strengthen their creative and technical capabilities while taking on greater ownership as their skills grow. With curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail, this role will help Snooze show up consistently and meaningfully across every touchpoint while contributing to the continued growth of the brand. 

The Position Specifics

Taking on the role of Junior Brand Designer isn’t just about bacon and pancakes. The responsibilities of this position include:

Creative Strategy & Brand:

  • Support in bringing the Snooze brand's visual expression and voice to life across social, digital advertising, email, menus, print, restaurant environments, merchandise, web, and other channels.
  • Apply established Brand Standards consistently while building an understanding of Snooze brand strategy, positioning, and storytelling.
  • Participate in creative brainstorms and contribute ideas for campaigns, menu launches, restaurant openings and other brand initiatives.
  • Stay current on relevant cultural, creative, and design trends and share ideas that help keep Snooze distinctive and relevant
  • Support the Senior Designer of Brand Creative in maintaining and evolving Brand Standard Guidelines.

Content Creation & Design:

  • Design and develop creative assets across Snooze brand activation platforms including email, social, digital media, web, restaurant collateral and print.
  • Support creative development for seasonal campaigns, menu launches, restaurant openings, Snooze Rewards, catering, gift cards, merchandise, and other brand initiatives.
  • Adapt, resize, and version approved creative across channels and formats while protecting the integrity of the original concept.
  • Support menu design, layout, proofing and production.
  • Create and maintain templates that improve consistency and speed across recurring creative needs including digital ads, presentations, brochures, posters and restaurant materials.
  • Prepare production-ready files and work with internal partners and external vendors to ensure creative is executed accurately.
  • Support photography and video projects including pre-production, shoot support, asset organization, image selection and post-production as needed.
  • Perform basic photo editing, retouching and image preparation.
  • Continue developing skills across photography, video, motion and other creative disciplines as opportunities arise.

Project, Asset & Workflow Management:

  • Manage assigned projects from creative brief through final production, meeting established timelines and communicating status, risks, and questions.
  • Maintain organized project files and photography, design, and digital asset libraries using established naming, archiving, and workflow standards.
  • Proof creative for accuracy, consistency, and quality before final production or distribution.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Social, Digital, Operations, People & Culture, vendors, and other partners to execute creative needs accurately.
  • Identify opportunities to make recurring creative work more organized, efficient, and scalable.

Other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned to meet Snooze’s business and operational goals and priorities.

Let’s Talk Prerequisites! (Education, Credentials, and Experience)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a graphic design-related field or other relevant discipline preferred
  • 1+ years of related experience in professional creative design experience preferred: relevant internships, freelance work, and exceptional portfolio work may be considered
  • Experience designing for both digital and print applications
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with After Effects, Premiere, CapCut, basic web design trends, or videography is a plus
  • Relevant hospitality industry experience preferred

  • Must have the stamina to work 45 to 55 hours per week
  • Minimal travel required
  • Home base is in Denver, CO at the Snooze Restaurant Support Center (3 days a week required in office)

The Nitty Gritty Details
Denver area base salary range: $50,000-$65,000 per year

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Snooze salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Snooze’s total compensation package for employees.
