The Inn at Little Washington is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our
Engineering team.
This is an opportunity to work at one of the most recognized luxury hospitality
properties in the country, supporting a diverse portfolio of HVAC systems
across guest accommodations, restaurants, commercial kitchens, offices, and
support facilities.
Unlike a traditional service-truck position, you'll work on a single luxury
campus with a wide variety of equipment. No dispatching across multiple
customer sites, no sales quotas, and no pressure to upsell repairs. Instead,
you'll focus on maintaining and improving systems that directly support an
exceptional guest experience.
POSITION SUMMARY
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting,
repair, and preventive maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning,
and refrigeration systems throughout the property.
This role works closely with the Engineering team to ensure all systems operate
safely, efficiently, and reliably while maintaining the high standards expected
of a Forbes Five-Star and Michelin Three-Star property.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on all HVAC systems
• Maintain guest room, restaurant, and support building comfort systems
• Service heat pumps, air handlers, split systems, mini-splits, exhaust
systems, and ventilation equipment
• Assist with commercial kitchen ventilation and make-up air systems
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders
• Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized support is required
• Respond to HVAC-related service requests from departments across the property
• Support capital improvement and renovation projects as needed
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• 3+ years of HVAC service or maintenance experience
• EPA Certification
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders and lifts
Preferred
• Experience with commercial HVAC systems
• Experience with VRV/VRF systems
• Hospitality, healthcare, institutional, or campus maintenance experience
• Electrical and controls troubleshooting experience
