Description

A Stage Unlike Any Other

Since 1863, The Arts Club has been a home for artists, writers, musicians and creative pioneers. Music has always been at the heart of our story. Our original  Director of Music was Mark Ronson, and our stages have welcomed internationally acclaimed DJs, bands and breakthrough artists, many of whom performed here long before they became global names.

Now we are looking for the next Director of Music to continue that legacy.

As Director of Music, you will define the musical identity of one of the world’s most iconic private members’ clubs. You will curate everything from intimate live performances and resident DJs to headline acts, while discovering and championing the next generation of exceptional talent from across Europe and beyond.

Working closely with our Director of Music in Dubai, you will build a shared international programme, identify outstanding new artists and create opportunities for talent to develop across both clubs.

This is more than a programming role. It is an opportunity to shape culture, create unforgettable experiences and influence the future of music at The Arts Club.

The Role

You will lead the creative direction of music across every space within the club, ensuring every performance contributes to an exceptional member experience.

You will:

  • Define and curate the musical identity of every space within the club.
  • Lead the weekly programme of DJs, live performances and headline artists.
  • Discover, develop and champion emerging talent from across Europe.
  • Build lasting relationships with artists, managers, agents, promoters and record labels.
  • Work closely with the Director of Music in Dubai to create a shared international artist programme and identify opportunities for artists to perform across both clubs.
  • Curate music for key moments in the club calendar, including Frieze, New Year’s Eve and other landmark events.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Membership and Operations to maximise the impact of the music programme.
  • Oversee budgets, commercial performance and technical delivery.
  • Regularly experience the programme in person, ensuring every detail reflects the standards and atmosphere of The Arts Club.

Who You Are

  • You are a curator, connector and tastemaker with exceptional musical instincts.
  • You are, or have been, a respected DJ, music producer or recording artist with an established network across the United Kingdom and European music industry.
  • You have experience leading music programming within a luxury hospitality venue, private members’ club or culturally led organisation.
  • You have an instinct for discovering artists before they become widely recognised and the confidence to programme them.
  • You understand how music shapes atmosphere and creates unforgettable experiences.
  • You combine creative vision with commercial discipline and are experienced in managing budgets and negotiating talent agreements.
  • You are collaborative, highly organised and thrive in a fast moving live environment.
  • Above all, you believe that music is not simply entertainment. It is culture, identity and one of the defining elements of an exceptional members’ club.

What We Offer

  • Private medical benefits through Medicash.
  • Discounts across more than 800 retail outlets through Reward Gateway.
  • Dining discounts across our restaurants and sister businesses.
  • Access to Lanserhof at The Arts Club.
  • Enhanced sickness and maternity pay.
  • Life assurance.
  • Long Service Awards.
  • Learning, development and career progression opportunities.
  • Complimentary meals during your shift.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Your birthday off.
