Tupelo Honey is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join the buzz at our “Hive” corporate team. The HR Generalist will report to the Senior HR Manager and lead various initiatives within the HR Department. The HR Generalist will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and the integrity of our Human Resources Department. Special emphasis will be placed on employee onboarding, employee relations, and recruiting. The ideal candidate can adapt to working effectively in fast-paced, growth environment; and is comfortable with improvement initiatives that require quick thinking and attention to detail.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administration of HRIS software, and on-boarding policies and procedures. 
  • Process new hires in multiple systems. 
  • Weekly file imports including: new hire data; benefits data; termination data
  • Process New Management Hires in multiple systems and communicate logins.
  • Honey Pot Benefit Plan administration, tracking, and maintenance
  • Weekly file imports including: new hire data; benefits data; termination data. 
  • Manage job posting processes with THC’s applicant tracking system, external job posting vendors, specialty job posting sites and job boards. 
  • Uses effective team member relations strategies in compliance with applicable laws, and company policies including: FMLA; ADA; and EEOC; FLSA; NLRB; etc.   
  • Provides HR support, process knowledge, training, and consultation to restaurant management.
  • Promotes and supports an environment of open communication, collaboration, and trust while embodying our core values and confidentiality.
  • Assists managers and team members with understanding and applying Human Resources policies and procedures to improve organizational performance.
  • Executes HR projects as directed by the Senior HR Manager by assisting with the development, deployment, and maintenance of Human Resource programs and initiatives.
  • Responsible for providing recommendations/suggestions to the Senior HR Manager when improvement and/or increased efficiency/compliance is recognized  
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance; escalating to HR Leadership as needed/required. 


DESIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in human resources, or any related field or equitable experience.
  • Proven interest in the Human Resources field.
  • PHR / SPHR or SHRM Certification


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer aptitude including working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) 
  • Strong teambuilding skills that focus on mentoring and coaching 
  • Strong organizational skills
