We’re now looking for a friendly, passionate Deputy Manager to join our team and help lead this much-loved pub into its next chapter.

About the Role

As Deputy Manager, you’ll be a key part of the leadership team, working closely with the General Manager to create a happy team and a great guest experience. You’ll lead by example, support your colleagues, and help make sure everything runs smoothly — from service and standards to sales and team development.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting the Front of House team day to day

• Helping oversee all areas of the pub, including people, guests, sales, profit, operations and health & safety

• Making sure Upham Inns standards are met through a people-first, guest-focused approach

• Supporting the General Manager in achieving business goals

• Coaching, training and developing team members to be the best they can be

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a similar hospitality management role

• A natural people-person who enjoys leading and motivating teams

• Confidence with budgets, labour control and basic financials

• A positive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to think on your feet

• Strong communication skills and a genuine love for great hospitality

• Right to Work in the UK
