About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you’ll be a key part of the leadership team, working closely with the General Manager to create a happy team and a great guest experience. You’ll lead by example, support your colleagues, and help make sure everything runs smoothly — from service and standards to sales and team development.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading and supporting the Front of House team day to day
Helping oversee all areas of the pub, including people, guests, sales, profit, operations and health & safety
Making sure Upham Inns standards are met through a people-first, guest-focused approach
Supporting the General Manager in achieving business goals
Coaching, training and developing team members to be the best they can be
What We’re Looking For
Experience in a similar hospitality management role
A natural people-person who enjoys leading and motivating teams
Confidence with budgets, labour control and basic financials
A positive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to think on your feet
Strong communication skills and a genuine love for great hospitality
